Firespiral Slings – Autumn 2020 – Shekinah Centre, Newchurch-in-Pendle

The next part of my Firespiral Slings Pendle collection shoots took place at the beautifully tranquil Shekinah Christian Centre in Newchurch-in-Pendle. We shot Chalice Pendle Midwinter (with Hazel, James, little Dylan, and big brother Leo) and Whinfell Pendle Birch Trees (with Alana and baby Ezra). We also attempted to take pictures of Nocturne Pendle Earthshine but the weather turned against us after a beautiful start and we had to postpone! It ended up working out wonderfully at another location though, which you’ll see in the next blog.

The village of Newchurch-in-Pendle has a very close connection to the Pendle witch trials as one of the main families involved, the Demdikes, lived in the area. You can find out more about the 17th century trials on the Visit Pendle website. Nowadays you can find the shop Witches Galore in the middle of the village with lots of spooky gifts and information about Pendle available.
