Last May I had the absolute pleasure of spending three mornings with Beyond the Walls taking nursery photos of the children. The woodland camps provided a beautiful and diverse backdrop, and having the bluebells in full bloom helped immensely too.
I was blown away by the confidence of the children, they were excited to see me and more than happy to pose. It was such a joy to get to know the children and capture their wonderful personalities. Cheeky smiles, shy glances, full on toothy grins, and butter wouldn’t melt sweetness. Even the most shy children came into their own when showing off their favourite activities.
The sessions being outdoors and on different days meant that the portraits were all the more unique with different backgrounds and lighting situations (we all know how it can go from tropical temperatures bright sunshine to cloudy and freezing within minutes in this country!). From the stick dens, to the rope swings, and more, I got a taste of just how fun a day in the woods can be. It’s now that time of year again and I’m looking forward to joining them very soon for this year’s portraits!
